[ Today is Falkner's first official day in the space academy, and he can't be more excited. After all, he's been waiting for this day for what feels like his entire life. Ever since his father showed him pictures and told him stories about how wonderful outer space is, that is where his heart has been set.

A pilot? No, thanks. He's going to space!

... Or, well, as soon as he figures out where he even needs to go. He stands around a bit awkwardly, studying a map. The school is rather big... where is he even supposed to head to first? ]

[ It's day one at the space academy for Janine and she is totally not lost, nope. No way. She doesn't get lost, it just doesn't happen! So why is she absently wandering the halls while she probably has something important to do and somewhere to be?

Shut up, okay.

The academy is huge and it's her first day, her excuses are perfectly valid! She'll get the hang of this quick, really. In the meantime, though, she's really got to get going. Wasn't there a ceremony or something, maybe? Where would that even be held?

Oh, hey, there's a kid down that way and he doesn't look like he knows what he's doing any more than she does, even if he's got a map. There is only one logical answer to this situation!]

Hey! [And it is totally shouting at him from the other end of the hallway.]

[ where to go where to go where to go-- oh? Someone's calling for him? Falkner raises his head up as he looks around. Where is that coming from...?

It takes him a moment, but he spots Janine. ] What is it?

Where are you headed? [In barely a second she has run right up to him and is peering over at his map—not that she's actually going to tell him she doesn't know where she's going, nope.]

I think to the auditorium? I have to admit that I'm not quite sure where I'm supposed to be going...

[The auditorium sounds about right. And so she just casually snatches the map out of his hands.] Lemme see, I can find the way.

[ Ah-- He will lean over her shoulder, pointing at the map. ] I think we're around here? I'm not positive.

I think we're on the other side of the place entirely. [Actually she has no idea, but tilting the map might help? Yes that's totally how it works.]

Really? [ He sounds skeptical. He doesn't think he's that lost... ]

...Okay, well, that's kind of an exaggeration, but we're not there.

I could figure that much. [ He holds out his hand. Give him back the map, Janine... ]

Well, whatever, but we should be heading this way! [She is just going to pretend she didn't even see his hand out. Nope, she has relinquished any and all of Falkner's map-holding rights.]

[ wow okay ] "This way" meaning...?
